Janis Adams
Janis Adams, a former professional ballerina, first fell in love with Indy Car Racing when as a child she first met Mario Andretti and saw him drive at Pocono Raceway. Some years later, she cemented her love of racing when attending the Indianapolis 500 three years in a row - and sitting behind Arie Luyendyk’s pit when he won the fabled race in 1990. Ms. Adams is an award-winning writer, columnist, and author. While never having been a race car driver herself, she says the next best thing is getting to write about the legends of the sport.
